Ru Paul's All Stars Drag Race Recap - Ru Paul's Gaff-In

Has it already been a week? Well I guess it has. It's time for another episode of Ru Paul's Drag Race Team Edition. The most obnoxious twist to a reality competition ever continues to send two girls home per episode, meaning we get to see even less of them this season! Yay us! Anyway, its time for the second installment, where we see the Snatch Game. Oh wait, I mean the Not Snatch Game.

Yes, I will have a picture of Latrilla here every week. It's my site.
Mimi and Pandora are gone and it's all they can talk about. Raven makes a very cunty remark about Mimi not even deserving to be there in the first place (love you girl, but that was low!). They also talk about Pandora giving up, which I also disagree with, but let's move on. It's a new episode.

"She who laughs last probably didn't get the joke in the first place. Sorry Jiggly."

BAM

They play a game called In Da But Ru. They get asked "probing" questions to see who knows their partners the best. Getting the biggest laughs are Manila and Latrice, as they have the best chemistry of them all. Tammie pretty much freaked everyone out by not only sniffing Nina, but also claiming her partner wears grass underwear. We also got to find out who was a top and who was a bottom, which was a bit shocking as most of them went against what you would actually think.  I mean really, Shannel?

Sometimes the musical queues in this show crack me up. Two times in a row Latrice gets Manila's questions wrong, so they use that same shocker/bad move music they usually save for Ru's talks one on one.

The main challenge is apparently the Snatch Game. Wait. What is Ru Paul's Gaff-In? So it's the Snatch Game? I'm going to call it the Snatch Game. They have to write original jokes and also dress up as a celebrities. All you really need to know about the work room segment is that Latrice is going to be Oprah. Our prayers have been answered.

So Shanel finally explains what thew challenge exactly is, which consists of three really uninteresting parts. Can we just get to the celebrity impersonations already? Jesus! All I really gathered from the explanation is that hey have a cocktail party and they have to do something with Ru herself. Who knows what insanity we are in for?

Ru goes around to each group to chat it up. Ru is overly passive aggressive towards Manila, and didn't get Latrice's joke making them fall flat a bit. With Yara and Alexis, he immediately pointed out what we all were thinking. Shakira isn't funny. Raven and Juju were up next. He pointed out that their jokes sucked. Bitch, you do NOT make fun of the queen Pandora. Like ever. Chad and Shannel got the best reviews from Ru, with no shade being tossed their way. He just told them to pick it up and not make the bottom this time. Nina and Tammie were last. Ru made it clear that nobody really knew who the two of them wanted to be. But who cares? LATRICE IS GOING TO BE OPRAH!

Finally the show commences. The first thing is that they have to do a cocktail rutine. Each has to do a joke with Mama while Glamazon awkwardly plays in the background. The only laugh from this entire segment was Nina and Tammie, and it was mostly because their joke was worse than a Laffy Taffy wrapper.

Latrice is giving away African babies. Hell yeah! Anyway, this 60s theme variety show was just awkward. So it's not exactly the Snatch Game. Oddly enough the two I had counted out the most, Yara and Alexis, actually turned it out and were among the funniest in the group.

Also did I mention Juju made the worst Fran ever? Like in the history of ever. Shannel did a great job with Lucy though.

Now it is RUNWAY TIME! This is what I live for. Oh, and Santino has residency this season. Eat it, haters. My man is back for the long run. Anybody else loving that Icon necklace Michelle has on? The judges look better than ever today.

Yarlexis - They looked very pretty. Yara stole the show, while Alexis looked a little too showgirl to be 60s.

Latrilla - Looked the best on the runway. Both os them looked gorgeous and Manila's makeup was so spot on.

Shad - As Ru said they really did look like the Mod Squad. Chad looked amazing in her black and white dress.

Rujubee - Neither of these girls were meant to be 60's inspirte queens. Neither really looks on point.

Brown Flowers - Nina looks sexy and Tammie looks so adorable! The two of them are my second favorite of the night. A lot of it has to do with their chemistry together.

The judges rambled for a long time, spouting off opinions almost the exact opposite of mine, and I don't want to badmouth the lovely Santino, so I'll move on to the finale.

Yara and Alexis (just as I figured) got the top prize this week. That Charo was so spot on there was no way they couldn't have won. In the bottom was Team Brown Flowers and Team Latrila. Why does it always come down to my top picks going against each other? Send home Rujubee already!

Nina and Tammie get sent home, sadly enough. I was hoping that neither team would go, but as it goes, someone had to make their exit. At least Manila is still there. She better WERK it and win this bitch. She deserves it.

  1. I am so sad Nina and Tammie were sent home after only the second episode. I thought for sure team Brown Flowers would make it a lot farther. I was talking about this episode with my co-worker from DISH since we are both huge fans of the show. We do not understand why the whole season is done in pairs; I’m just hoping that means the new season will air sooner. I set my Hopper to record this episode, and the rest of the season; I can’t wait to get home to check this episode out. I’m curious to see Manila’s make-up since she had such a hard time with blending when she was on her season.
