Tan Mom and Adam Barta Are At It Again With New Song + Video

Oh dear lord. It looks like the Adam Barta/Tan Mom love affair is just gonna keep on going. They've already collaborated twice in the past, and now it looks like they are back to their old antics. Let me apologize in advance because Adam may be my friend, but this is kind of a mess. Sorry gurl.

Where do we begin here? The song? Well it's awkward from the start. We begin with Adam having to remind Tan Mom that she should sing into the microphone. That's a great start. Musically, it's not a horrible piece. It's actually kind of amusing hearing Krentcil mock the Teen Mom franchise yet again, as well as compare herself to Katy Perry. Hell, she even goes as far to quote lyrics from "I Kissed A Girl". While it doesn't really come full circle (the lyrics get derailed at some point, but it's hard to say exactly where), it's amusing.

The song is not where I have issues. The video is where I have issues. What is even going on here? Half of the video -- no really literally half -- is Patricia at a dentist's office. Ok. But why? Then we have some low quality footage of Adam and Patricia "performing" at a venue. I put the quotation marks there because Tan Mom is mostly wandering around the stage while Adam is singing. The only part of the video that makes sense is the two of them on the red carpet at an event, which again is lower quality footage.

Adam's reality TV team-ups never have mind blowing videos, but this one seems really rushed. I would have liked to see more green screen antics from these two. It really gives off the vibe that they were on a deadline and both had conflicting schedules to shoot new footage, so they took literally every scrap of footage they could find to cram it into a video.

I guess when it comes down to it, I did get a good kick out of the project. It is a train wreck, but it's a fun and funny train wreck. If you're going to be a mess, at least be a hot mess. And Patricia Krentcil does this very well.

Myla "Not Kim Kardashian" Sinanaj and Adam Barta Are Not Angels!

I know, I know. Sometimes I get wrapped up a bit too much in psuedo-reality-stars, but when Adam is attached to the project, it definitely gets my attention. This time, he's teamed up with a girl who is famous apparently for not being Kim Kardashian. I guess you can get famous for literally anything these days. Oh well. At least the song isn't bad.

Yeah. That just happened. Well there are a lot of good things and a few bad things. Let's start with the fact that this one definitely isn't a train wreck. I don't know what they were thinking with that last Tan Mom song, but this one seems to be a bit more thought out. I also would like to point out it's nice to see him return to more serious music. I know that this song isn't totally comedy free, I mean Myla is picking fun at herself a bit throughout the song, but at least it's not one big laugh fest.

On the down side it still doesn't feel as polished as his Adam's previous music. If you were to compare this to "Q&A" or "Give Yourself Up", it just doesn't feel as spot on. I also have to say that the quality of the video, as well as it's direction, seem to be hit and miss depending on what time of the video you tune into. Some parts have Myla and Adam rocking it out, looking natural, and having fun. Other times they are awkwardly standing still on a bartop.

Enough negativity, though. The track comes with a message for those who've followed Myla up until this point. She's ready for you to get to know her for her. She's not an angel, but that doesn't mean she's all bad, either. Speaking of not being bad, she's actually not a bad singer, either. This is the biggest surprise to me since, well, Adam did a song with Jersey Shore's Angelina.  Who'd have thought?

Tan Mom still can't sing.

I still love Tan Mom.

Tan Mom And Adam Barta Release Another Song

Yeah. You read that right. They've released another song. The first song and video went viral and was all over the media, being blasted as a huge trainwreck (I loved it, personally, but I'm pretty wreck-y myself). These two had the balls to come back with a second strike -- and this time they have a lot more to say. Well, kind of. It's easier to show you than explain.

So this song here... I have to say is not anywhere near as catchy as the first. That's not to say that it's not fun, but it's way too hard to top "It's Tan Mom, bitch." The song starts off with a Katy Perry lyric, and moves on to be a bit more mess music wise then I was hoping. I don't keep up with gossip, but why is Tan Mom trashing Farrah from Teen Mom? Anyway, the song is just a list of things she and Barta have done over the past few months, mostly due to her previous song, such as being on Howard Stern... or dropping her top on the beach. She also calls Adam a pop tart.

The chorus comes in to remind us that this song has a name. "Life of the Party" or something.

The video is the up side this time around. Tan Mom looks like she's much more in her own mind (and she even makes it a point in the track to boast about her sobriety), and the over all quality was upped. The video is helped out by Adam Barta, so obviously it's very gay friendly including rainbows and cute boys. Patricia looks like she's been taking makeup tips from the real housewives (which is a mix of a good thing and a bad thing, moreso depending on who you are).

Things one can learn form this song:
Adam Barta is not her toy.
She is writing a tell-all book.
She kissed a girl.
She's licked Adam Barta.
She still is autotuned to hell -- and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Tan Mom Has A New Song And Video... Sort Of

You are not misreading this. This is a post about Tan Mom. You know I usually don't buy into the tabloid trash, but she's making music. I mean, it's not great music, but it is pretty catchy. Ok, people, you've really got to stop judging me. Yes you there. Just watch this and LEAVE TAN MOM ALONE!

Don't be fooled by the first few lines of the song. "It's Tan Mom, bitch" is pretty much the only part of the song she remembers throughout the entire video. That's actually the part that astounds me. It is her voice singing, but for some reason on the video she doesn't even try to lip sync along with herself. Instead we just see her stumbling around, failing at doing the robot, and being the sun.

Yes, she is the freaking sun. It is pretty obvious that this video was meant to be a trainwreck and to be funny, and it is extremely successful at both of these things. If you pay attention to the lyrics (brought to life hysterically in the video, I might add), she is actually mocking the other non-celebrities such as Octomom and the girls from Teen Mom and their universally panned "music". I guess she gets points for that.

What she doesn't get points for is not remembering her own lyrics. I know I already harped on this, but really? Towards the end of the video, Adam Barta, one of the behind the scenes people turned video ho, actually lip syncs the words for her. The video also stars a hot guy in a speedo and Sailor Moon.

What makes this song so fun is that it never set out to be amazing. Quite possibly they could have set out to make a bad song on purpose to capitalize on all the others out there doing the same thing but taking it far more seriously. Patricia may not be the smartest of the famous-for-no-reason celebrities, but she hast he right team behind her. Unfortunately it doesn't look like much of the internet really "gets" it. Luckily you have me. Or I could be wrong and they are just batshit crazy. Who cares?
