It's about time we get some new Moses Universe material. He has been a source of great music ever since his debut single (featuring my girls XELLE no less). Over the years he has been steadily releasing new music for us to enjoy, and after a lot of teasing, he has unveiled the video for "Vortex". I don't know if you are ready for this one!
I'm going to be honest with you, I have next to no idea what is going on with this video. So much is happening that it is hard to keep up. The main gist seems to be that Moses is able to change holograms around him with his remote, which is almost instantly forgotten after the intro for an extended dancing sequence. It is brought back at the end, to make sure they got good use out of that strange glittery alien costume. The dancing portions were interesting, but I would have liked to see more of what Moses's oversized remote could do.
"Vortex" as a song is very fun. It fits right in line with most of what Moses Universe has released to this point. It sounds like a faster version of "I'm Your Man", which is my favorite song to this day that he has released. It's obvious that the song will be an instant favorite for anybody who has followed him up until this point. If it's your first time hearing of him, it may feel a bit dated, having a vibe that was more relevant in 2010 and 2011, but that doesn't mean it should be overlooked.
This project was a really fun way to bring Moses Universe to the foreground again. He often times takes a good while between singles to prep, so getting to see the fruits of all that labor was really fantastic. Let's hope that his fabled debut album that dates back at least four years will eventually come to be. For now, you can hop over to iTunes and snag "Vortex" and add it to your collection of awesome music.

Moses Universe Gives Hashtag Realness In New Music Video
I've been fighting the battle against hashtags from day one. I am just recently to the point to where I appreciate them on social media, but in pop culture (such as TV shows forcing the tags they want trending down your throat) and music, I was still firmly against it all. Well I guess I need to change that stance too because the artist formerly known as Moses -- now known as Moses Universe -- has come out with a new single and video to get everyone up and dancing again. Check out "#Epic".
I have such a great love for Moses Universe. He has been steadily pumping out music since practically the birth of this site, and I've been making a point to cover his antics whenever I can. Another one of Zach Adam's talented musical children, along side XELLE and Phi Phi O'Hara, Moses has a dark mysterious energy about him that makes for amazing pop music with just a hint of sexy to make things work.
The video is a fun trip to watch. We have a lot of black and white shots of Moses on his own, as well as a lot of shots of him out in a back alley. Mixed throughout the video are a lot of pieces with women who appear to be having a tea party, and end up handling live ducklings? Yeah. Not sure what's going on with that, exactly.
Moses really knows what he and his team are doing, because he may be releasing music at a slower pace, but it's a steady one, and each single really sounds like a lot of work went into it. He is on point in his videos, he has the production together, and he is always has something that's going to make people dance.
Now if only we could get that album he's been talking about for years now.
As of now, the track has yet to be uploaded to iTunes.

Moses Universe Unveiles New Video "My Prediction"
Moses Universe (Formerly simply Moses) has finally unleashed his new single and video. Trailing long after his debut with "I'm Your Man" featuring pop trio-turned-duo XELLE, this single has revived hope in the LGBT (? -- we'll get to that in a second) music scene that Moses will continue on his musical journey. For now, let's check out "My Prediction".
The track itself starts off a bit rocky. I'm not sure that Moses really had that whole sexy talk-singing thing that's been so popular lately down. It came across a bit awkward, but thankfully it doesn't really last long as we move into what he is best at, which is singing. The vocals are very strong here despite the often unneeded audio effects to make him computerized.
Given that he was working with Zach Adam, the quality was no surprise. Everything that producer touches sounds amazing, and this is no exception. The video seemed a bit lacking from what we are used to from Zach's crew, and especially given how dramatic the video for "I'm Your Man" was. It features a lot of static shots against black backgrounds with some questionable wardrobe choices.
Where things get really confusing is where Moses lies in the spectrum. I mean, I'm not one to try and forcefully out anyone or even question someone's sexuality, but in the beginning he was presented as an LGBT singer, which usually panders to the "gay" side more than the "bisexual" side. The song and video for this track really push towards him having a female for a love interest. And to confuse things even more, he's partying it up with gay night life icons, the most notable being trans superstar Amanda Lepore. Again, not really judging, just confused.
The song is a great jam. I wish the beginning was different, but it still fits within the context and feel of the song, so I wouldn't say it's something that would turn people off. Moses Universe sounds amazing as usual, and Zach Adam really turned it out. Moses is still promising us a ten album track, but seeing as he has been for quite some time now, I wouldn't really hold your breath just yet.
Go ahead and hop on over to iTunes and pick it up.

Moses Releases Sexy Follow-Up Single "I Always Say Goodbye"
Finally Moses is back. His debut album may have been pushed back, but with yet another amazing single up to the plate, I think that can easily be forgiven. This time around, he's released another top notch video that once again puts other indie videos to shame. Check out Moses's "I Always Say Goodbye".
This video may not be as dark and brooding as "I'm Your Man" the video still fares well, and shows us a different face for Moses than the initial introduction. This time around we get to see him in the light in all his beauty, as well as see him get a pretty wet (giggity). Unfortunately he gets pretty up and close with a lady friend, discouraging our more homo-erotic tendencies here at TOTU.
Once again proving that Moses is one of the most addictive up-and-coming musical talents from New England, his video already is nearing 450,000 views in just two months. I guess that means he isn't a one-viral-hit-wonder, right? The music is very much Europop, which makes since since he is European after all.
This is another solid hit written by Zach Adam, proving that this man can do no wrong. He is the writing genius behind a great deal of XELLE, and is working with several other talents, including Phi Phi O'Hara (who's debut is still yet to see light of day outside of live performances). Now, how do I go about getting him to write some music for me?
You can buy the track on iTunes, and I highly recommend you do!

Moses Goes Viral
No, I'm not talking about that old guy from the Bible, I'm talking about rising electro-pop singer Moses. He released his single "I'm Your Man" a few weeks back, and seeing as it featured my grrls XELLE, I had to check it out. I did not expect to fall completely in love, though! The video for the single was released less than a week ago, and it already has nearly 30 thousand views on it. Now try and tell me that isn't impressive!
I have to say that the video is beautiful, and is directed by Zach Adam, who also works with XELLE. This guy, straight out of Israel, has an amazing voice, and knows how to create an amazing video. The last look, the "fallen angel", literally had me gasping! The dark eye makeup, reminiscent of Seek from Psycho Le Cemu (circa the Roman Hikou video) was beautiful and added to his total sexiness.
I have to say I'm very impressed. This guy has come out of nowhere and started his conquest of the pop scene. People better make way for this rising star. But more importantly, I wonder if he is single.
Edit: Is that Mila Jam, I see. Why yes, yes it is!
