Real Housewives of New Jersey May Be On Hold Until 2016

That's right. Currently it's just a rumor as there has been no official word from Bravo or the production house yet, but the show may be on hiatus for a while. The reason? Well obviously because it's biggest star is in prison.

Teresa Giudice has recently gone to prison to face her crimes that she committed with her husband. Luckily the judge was understanding and sent her and her husband at separate times to keep her family together. Unfortunately, they are unable to film her exploits in prison for the Real Housewives franchise, which is her main form of income.

I was completely certain that she would be welcomed back to the show in it's eighth season, but if the stories floating around the internet are true, the producers are worried if the show will survive that long. Season six, despite welcoming back fan favorite Dina Manzo, was one of the lowest rated seasons in the shows history. It only came to be popular again when the court case was shown on the air. They are considering putting the show on hold until Teresa is released (early by the way) in February of 2016.

Is this a good idea? I'm not sure. I mean I personally wouldn't watch the show without Teresa. The new trio were rather boring, and the best wives have been gone. Without the crazy antics of Teresa or even Danielle, the show really doesn't stand much of a chance to survive. On the down side, and entire year without the show can cause fans to lose interest, and a year is a long time for their lives to continue on off camera.

This isn't some publicity stunt for everyone to watch Bravo. Teresa Giudice, one of the most recognizable "Bravolebrities" is going to jail. For a while. Damn.

Reality TV Review: RHNJ Season Five Episode 13

After a trying two and a half seasons, it looks like some of the major issues have been resolved. Who knows if this will open the doors for more issues, but it looks like Teresa has finally got the memo that she's gotta stop blaming literally everyone or else she'll have no friends. Still love you, Tre! Anyway, this is the first part of our obligatory vacation story. We all remember what happened in last season's camping fiasco. Let's hope this one is a bit more tame.

With the first major story arc for this season out of the way, it was starting to look like we would get a little down time. Nope. There is no such thing as down time for New Jersey. These housewives are always freaking out over something. It looks like loose ends with Jacqueline need to be tied up, and we get to see if the breakthroughs Teresa and Melissa's families made over the last few episodes will last. Reality TV Review: RHNJ Season Five Episodes 8 + 9

So I skipped last week. So what? These two episodes went pretty hand-in-hand, so I'm not feeling too bad about it, and it meant that I got to cover the full story instead of just half of it. I can say it was a crazy roller coaster, but it ended on a positive note. After two seasons of nothing but catfights, things are starting to look up -- and for real this time. Let's hope things stay this way. I mean, it's reality tv, but it's also these peoples' lives. Here's to wishing for the best!

Hey look! I'm actually following through with something for once! I know it's shocking, but you'll have to keep yourselves together. I mean it's Drag Race downtime and I have next to no regularly scheduled weekly events any more, so why not show my New Jersey girls some love? Reality TV Review: RHNJ Season Five 1 + 2

I've been promising for over a year that I would get more into reality tv. Every time I plan to review a show, things happen and I am not able to do so. In an effort to show I'm not full of crap, I'm going to be reviewing every episode (to the best of my power, anyway) of Bravo's Real Housewives of New Jersey Season Five. Let it be known that this show stresses me out like no other. I know it's a TV show, and I know that not all of it is exactly "reality" but it does pull at my heart, and some of the people on the show really get to me. Without further ado, let's jump in.
