Quigley Continues To Entice New EP With Single "Lost Again"

Ok, Ok. I promise that this will be the last post about Quigley until her EP comes out next month. Well, maybe. If she comes out with a music video, then I'll do another post. Anyway, today we've got another glimpse into her new EP Initium with "Lost Again".

Is this woman a freaking genius or what? She may take her time coming out with new stuff, but whenever she does, its always so amazing. Now this may not be something you'd jam out to, but it definitely has you thinking, and in a different state of mind that most pop music that is out there today.

Where this song really takes a turn is by being unconventional. Her voice is very light and airy, harkening back to artists like Kerli in her early days, set to a track that is full of surprises -- surprises such as dropping out completely for a split second making you think you lost internet connection. For anyone who is looking for something brilliant that is so far away from the monotony of the same old songs on the radio, look no further than "Lost Again."

Do I like this as much as I do her previous entry to the EP, "Post Post Apocalypse?" No, not exactly. They are very different sounding songs that go into very different categories. While "Apocalypse" is more up my alley, "Lost Again" has so much to offer, leaving the possibilities. for the rest of the EP to be endless. This is one album I am definitely looking forward to in 2015.

Her new EP Initium is set to be released May 8.

Quigley (Finally) Returns With Single + EP Preorder

Words cannot express how excited I am right now. I have been stalking Quigley on Facebook for ages. Back in the dark days of Frankmusik being Vincent Did It, he helped out a sweet young girl get her music career going. One EP later and she already fell off the face of the earth. Luckily, she didn't give up entirely, and is back with a new quirky track for you to take in. Get into "Post Apocalypse".

I am madly in love with this song. It is such a fun go, and it's exactly the artist I remember from her debut EP. The song uses a strange mix of back beats and her own electronically enhanced scatting to create the background. Layer her airy Kerli-esque voice on top of this already outlandish song, and you have something that you've not heard before. Anywhere.

And the song is not the only thing she's snuck out. With a little more digging, I found out that her second EP is coming out quick. May 8 (according to this Amazon listing) her next EP will be out for us all to enjoy. And when you can preview 30 seconds of each of the five tracks, it becomes magical. The EP is titled Initium and judging by the previews, it may just be my favorite EP to come out this year (I know, its not even half way over, but let me fanboy here!).

There is so much more to be discovered about Quigley, and I believe that this song will open a lot of doors for her, and show the world that she can run along side the other artists in today's spotlight. Move over, Lorde, we have Quigley, and she's about to deliver!

Album Review - Quigley "Pleiades"

I love free music. No, not going on Limewire and stealing music, but when artists decide to release music for free. It is a great way to build up a fan base, and artists such as Colette Carr, Simon Curtis, and Frankmusik have released free demos, EPs, and even albums to get fans and create hype for them. Quigley, a new artist, has made the decision to release her debut EP for free, and the world needs to check it out.

Album Review - The SOPA Opera

He's back, guys. Frankmusik is officially back. Well, he is sort of back. He started a side project called "Vincent Did It" , which is basically the same thing as Frankmusik. Yeah. I don't get it either, but he released a new EP entitled "The SOPA Opera". I haven't been so happy to see an artist back since the Aqua reunion.
