We start off right back at the party where we left off. Kim has chosen to side with Brandi for now, and that set off Kyle drastically. She's already told her to F--- off and made her exit. She immediately runs to her new BFF Lisa V and complains about how she was just bullied by Brandi. Here's the thing. I don't see either of them as being right. Brandi should keep some of the hateful comebacks to herself and Kyle should just stop being so selfish. I know it's her sister, but sometimes your siblings develop these things called friends that they tell some of their problems to.
To make matters worse (more hilarious?), as Kyle is complaining to Vanderpump, Lisa draws similarities to the situation from last year, which makes Kyle mad. We are talking about Kyle Richards, Lisa, not you. Why would you ever think that sympathizing and reminding someone you've been through the same things with the same person ever be helpful!? Kyle is officially the most delusional person on this show.
In the aftermath of the party we get some less dramatic bits, such as Brandi interviewing Heather from the Chelsea Lately roundtable. I love seeing Brandi do interviews because, well, I do interviews, and it really makes me like her more. I'm not as ballsy as she can be, but then again she has a much better position than me, doesn't she?
We also get to see Lisa V's storyline with her some come to a bit of a resolve. She speaks with her daughter Pandora about it, who is brought to tears at the thought of her brother leaving them for another family. Then we see that Lisa decided to go over the results of the background check with him, and that's all he wanted. When prompted if he wanted to meet his biological mother, he said no. I really like seeing this motherly side to Lisa. Too often we see her as snarky or judgmental, but here she is purely a good person, residing as the matriarch of her family. You go, lady.
Another fun bit was seeing the girls (sans Brandi and Yolanda) tag along with Eileen to the premier of her new short film. It was in a mall in Burbank, but they still dressed like it was the Oscars. The ladies are a real riot when they aren't trying to beat the hell out of one another. I guess this group is a good mix to keep things lively. While Eileen was being interviewed, they crashed the snack bar (looking for wine, no doubt), and ordered up a couple of hot dogs. I'd pay to see stuff like this more often.
Back at Yolanda's, she and Brandi are doing yoga to try and find an outlet for Brandi's rage. This obviously doesn't last long, and soon the two are sitting on the floor dishing, like normal. The discussion starts out tame, but picks up a bit of momentum when Yolanda mentions people say that she is an alcoholic. While Brandi didn't go full-on bitch, she did get a bit bothered. She said that people were saying that Yolanda's daughter is an alcoholic but they all know it's not true. Yolanda saw this as a personal attack, while Brandi saw it as an example of not listening to rumors. The conversation became muddled and ended up leaving their friendship in a bit of a state of limbo.
The next day, Eileen came up with what she thought was a master plan. She invited the Richards sisters to lunch together to try and get them to make up. Eileen has lost two sisters, one as recently as four months ago, and she is determined to get them to make up. Of course this backfires and they start yelling at each other almost instantly. Its difficult to describe even what they are arguing about. Kim finally reveals she thought it was horrible that she asked for details of what she told Brandi late at night when she needed help, while Kyle defended herself by saying she was testing to see if Brandi really was her sister's friend. Yikes. Was that really the time or place to do that?
The intensity of the drama between these two sisters is a bit much. They've never really been on the best of terms throughout the show's span, but it's getting so much worse this year. I'm not sure at this point if the two of them will ever be close again. On the other hand, some of the things Brandi says to Kim are very disturbing and sound almost manipulative. We can only see what Bravo decides to show us, so we might not ever know the full story.
Our last little bit was Brandi meeting for lunch with Dr. Rinna. She was totally out this episode to diagnose everyone. Last week she was calling Brandi an alcoholic, and this week it's all about Kim being an addict. While I love Lisa's I-Don't-Care-Imma-Say-It-Anyway mentality, I don't know if ti's the best approach. I see what she means by everyone is simply avoiding talking about it, but with all of their experience trying to bring it up before, don't you think they all kind of have an idea what is going to happen if they do that? It's really unclear what Lisa is trying to accomplish here, but I'm sure this meeting was to simply establish a bit of a camaraderie with Brandi to avoid being the outlet of her anger in the future.
The tension here is high. Each one of these ladies are walking a fine line between friendship and hatred for virtually everyone in the group. Well maybe not Lisa V. She kind of just doesn't care what anyone else thinks. But the rest of them seem to be trying to play to both fields so that whichever way this Richards-Richards-Glanville tug of war goes, they will be able to make it out alive. And can you blame them?
