Electrovamp Post Hot Video For "Hands Up"

It's been a long time in the making, but my girls Kally and Tammy have finally put out the official video for their latest single Hands Up. As promised, Mr. Cahill has made a guest appearance, making the video feel that much more complete. Check out the new video below.




In the video, the dynamic sister duo shows up to kidnap Keenan from his boring class that is doing nothing but put him to sleep. And what do they do to entertain him? They party of course. What esle would a couple of hot young girls straight from the UK do?

Joking aside, it is so refreshing to see a group follow through on a featuring part. I know that funds are tight all around, but when a video doesn't have the featured artist in it, it turns out to be a bit of a let down. They not only had Keenan in the video, they put him front and center, making much of the video about him, and for that I applaud the girls. The video also proves that the two are back and really mean business this time.

Electrovamp are still working on their debut album. They've told me that they want it to be nothing less than perfect, so I guess the extensive amount of time it's taken is excusable. They've managed to keep me interested all these years, so what's a little while longer?

Interview: Electrovamp Is Back!

Remember Electrovamp? This British girl duo responsible for internet radio sensations such as "Drinks Taste Better When They're Free" and "I Don't Like The Vibe In The VIP" has been absent from the pop seen for a while, but you better not count them out. Back and ready to go with a brand new single and a video in the works, Tammy and Kally gave me all the details on their current music, as well as a glimpse into the near future.

Song of the Week - Hands Up

I almost chose this as Song of the Week a while back, and I'm glad I didn't. The original version is great, but this version, with it's special guest singer, is even better. Everyone else may be getting tired of party songs, but this blogger says keep on bringing them to me -- I'll eat 'em up!

Electrovamp is a pop duo consisting of two sisters, Tammy-Jay and Kally, straight from the UK. They have popped up from time to time over the past few years, but now they are making a comeback, and teaming up with YouTube star Keenan Cahill is only showing that they are done messing around and ready to get their musical career back on track.

The song is a "screw the rules, let's party" style of song, and it keeps the listener singing along. Having a lot of reference to school and lacking alcohol name dropping, the song seems to be targeting a younger audience with it's lyrics, but that doesn't mean that it's a kid song by any means. The beats drive the song home, and the vocals, even from newcomer to the singing game Keenan, are spot on, creating a party song that you don't have to be wasted to connect to.

Electrovamp Announce New Single -- Sort Of

Anybody else love Electrovamp? They went dormant for what feels like forever, but thankfully these girls are back and going to be releasing a brand new track in a few days, and this blogger is friggen excited.

The song is exactly what I had been craving from this group. They are a great electronic group, and this song sounds to be what their fans will eat up without any problem. The beat is dancey, the vocals are spot on, and the lyrics are tongue and cheek. The song hits July 31st, but it wasn't stated whether this would be worldwide or only in the UK. I guess we will have to wait on that one.

What is interesting is the song itself is not new per say. What is new about this track is the version being released in a few days has a guest spot by YouTube personality Keenan Cahill. He is well known for his lip syncing videos where he is paired with every celebrity from Katy Perry live on her Teenage Dreams tour to LMFAO via skype, party rockin' it out.

The promo above doesn't seem to have any actual bits of Keenan singing, but given who he is working with, he surely is in good hands. This will be his first time singing on a track, so this is going to be an interesting song. I will definitely keep my eye out for the finished product.
