This episode only had two stars in it, and awkwardly enough they are now besties. Kim and Brandi stole the entire episode, driving all of the major plot points and drama situations while still being incredibly likable. We got to see a lot more of Kim and her loving side with her ability to forgive not one (Brandi) but two (Yolanda) women who have really came for her in the past and help them with issues in their own lives. That takes courage.
The beginning of the episode we see Brandi and Kim hanging out as some hunky hired movers bring in Brandi's furniture to her new house. It's about this time that Brandi reveals she has a crush on one of the young men helping, wherein her resident gay (leave it to us gays) decided to have a best abs contest for a large tip. God bless the gays.
Looking back to the season five preview they released a few weeks back and again at the beginning of the first episode, the best part of the whole mashup was seeing Kim and Brandi dawn ridiculous disguises. Fortunately for us they did this early in the season and gave us a good laugh. The two dressed up in cooky looking costumes and hid in bushes to try and catch Brandi's man J.R. with his new girlfriend to get her over her obsession with him. Proving once again that Kim is probably the most forgiving person on the planet, she helped out her former attacker with a genuine attitude. This segment was hilarious and probably the biggest laugh the show has given me in a good while.
As for the other housewives, we didn't get to see a whole lot of them. Yolanda's marriage is still annoyingly perfect, to which I'm probably just jealous that she has such a great relationship, and she and Kim got to hang out and discuss their empty nest syndrome. Kyle goes off to the lake and is absent for most of the episode. Lisa V tries to put up a front that she's still queen bee, but much like Teresa Guidice, nobody wants to film with her, but instead of acquiring a new housewife to be her new friend, she just sort of talks to her husband and some woman named Shiva.
And then there's Lisa R. I. Love. This. Woman. She is insane. So far she hasn't really involved herself in drama and she's still managed to stay on my radar with her outlandish sayings and her crazy faces. She really knows how to act in front of a camera to get attention without seeming desperate, which is one of the best qualities you can have in this industry. She and her resident gay (that doubles as her manager) discussed some TV options for her, and as mundane as that sounds, it kept my attention because she's just that freaking good. This woman is a star and the show is gonna help her make it back.
Finally we have the whole Brandi V. Adrienne thing to take care of, and honestly it wasn't half as dramatic as the previews made it look. They both sat down and talked like adults. Brandi said she was sorry (and on camera/what was edited on the show Adrienne didn't), and they both agreed to be civil and polite to each other. Brandi really stepped things up and acted her age this time. As much as I like her pervy jokes and her in-your-face attitude, she really does owe some people apologies, and this was the first step in the right direction.
Brandi is still my favorite.

From the next episode preview it looks like we will finally meet Eileen, with her being formerly introduced as Lisa R.'s friend. Let's hope that gets Lisa R. more involved with the ladies so we can see if she cracks under their intense pressure or if she can stand up and be a classy lady. Only time will tell!
