Oh the comedy episode. We see the same things ever year. Snatch game, singing, makeover, and comedy. Its another one of the challenges that make or break girls. The "previously on" in this episode showed a lot of highlights of Jinkx. Hmmm, I wonder who's gonna blow it this time? I mean they didn't even show any of her good moments.
Alaska starts out the episode by pulling the "Im in Sharon's shadow" bit, and even decided she may break away from Rolaskatox. Does that mean she's going home? God the editing of this show is throwing me in circles.
The She Mail this time all but gives it away. It's time for these bitches to put on their reading libraries and put on their reading glasses. Oh dear lord. Let's find out who is good at throwin' shade and who is just a little girl.
Detox was hilarious. Jinkx was a bit rough around the edges. Roxxxy just was mean. The rest of the girls did a lot better than I thought they would. It looks like this time around they actually showed some of the best parts. Even Alaska had me laughing a bit. Don't gasp too much there. Alaska deserved the win for once.
Let's all take a moment to bask in the glory of those shades. |
In the work room, everyone is scared out of their minds to make fun of Ru. One wrong joke and they could end up offending the one person who holds their fate in her hands.
Instead of Ru coming into the work room to help, Michelle steps in, making her first workroom coaching appearance. Alaska was up first, and we both had the same opinion on her letting everyone choose. Michelle seemed to have it out for Ivy. Either it was edited to look that way or she's found her new most hated girl.
There's not a lot to say about the coaching, because honestly they went by in the blink of an eye. The one thing I have to say is that, once again, I have to defend Alaska. Boobsforqueens.com is a very common thing for anyone who's seen even a single episode of this show. Fans are going to get it. Let her do the damn joke. Actually, the judges didn't think any of them were funny. They kind of panned everyone across the board. Roxxxy was the most affected by it all. Boohoo. You aren't number one for once. Moving on.
My face every time Roxxxy talks. |
Roxxxy goes second. Her jokes fell pretty flat, and seeing that she forgot most of her bit, I'd say she's on the line.
Coco is another top performer. Even if she is pulling a Shangela, she plays the stereotype well. Her look was even Shangela. Damn, girl.
Jinkx, the comedy queen, finally has a chance to show off her comedic skills. She had me rolling, and allowed me to sigh in relief. From the promo reel, I was scared she's screw up.
Ivy tried very hard, but she wasn't even close to the top. At least she looked like Poison Ivy.
Alyssa is pretty bad. I think what is saving her here is that she looks AMAZING.
Detox pulls up the rear. She looked quite lost up on stage. Even though she had to check her notes a few times, she ended up being very funny and a good wrap up for the show.
I have to say that even though the girls were grilled in the coaching, they all did well as a whole. It turns out the whole "flashbacks to Jinkx being terrible" was all a build up to Michelle finally loving her. Bout time you see what the rest of the world sees.
Alyssa Edwards: Can't act. Can't sing. Can't do stand up. Looks amazing failing all three. |
Roxxxy starts crying on the runway and reveals to everyone she was left at a bus stop when she was a kid with her sister. I hate to sound cynical, but this comes out after a weak lipsync from her, right as Ru is about to send her home. It saved her this week, keeping both Roxxxy and Alyssa in the game, but she had better step it up next week.
