And we start things up with Rocky having her mental breakdown from the last episode again. She's on the phone with her dad, begging to get out of there. She says she doesn't cry? Well I hate to tell you, but you are. Amy, being the incredible sweetheart she is, decides to step in and help her out. Amy is going to try and alleviate the situation a bit.
Captain Lee has a meeting with the leads Kate, Leon, and Eddie to discuss the new charter guest. Apparently last year this was Kate's mancrush. She has the idea of a Greek toga party for them. Of course this is not Leon's forte, but he goes along with it, anyway. Rocky gets the idea to be a mermaid for the party. I think Kate is fed up with her being useless, so she decides to let her be with this one so that she can have this one.
Connie and Emile have a bit of a bonding session when they were sent to clean the boat. He discusses with her of her father's passing. Connie seems calm about it all, and only really upset that her brother is going through it all. Emile can be a nice guy when he wants to, but most of the time that's not really the case. Eddie and Don on the other hand are still butting heads because each of them wants to do their own thing. Ugh.
After a mad rush to get ready, the crew has to get up and meet the guests. Though Rocky had messed up the laundry, they still managed to get together in time for the charter. Dean, the main charter guest, is the one that Kate is crushing on. This is a whole different side of Kate we haven't seen this season so far, as she's actually enjoying herself with these guests.
They finally take off, and Eddie tells Don to go help out Connie and Emile. I'm not sure what they were arguing about, but he totally steamrolled over the two of them. This, too, is a whole different side of Don. It's not an attractive one, either. Eddie went to try and settle it, pulling rank on Don to put him in line. The bromance between these two just keeps going further and further down the drain.
Kate gets down to the kitchen to give Leon the heads up on dinner. She tells him what they want to eat, and he said they need to go catch it themselves. What the hell? It's a luxury yacht. Why can't they do this for them? Connie takes them out to get lobsters and conchs. They aren't gone long, though, and much to Leon's horror, they brought back conch. He's never de-shelled one of these things before, and after he tries hammering at it for a while, he simply goes for the frozen one in the fridge. Bad move, my friend. If there's anything I've learned from Gordon Ramsey, it's that you don't do frozen anything. The guests didn't seem to notice the difference.
It doesn't take long for Kate to catch on that he didn't really cook what they caught. This pissed her off to no end, not because he lied to the guests, but because he lied to her. It's somewhat understandable, but of course it gets out of proportion because Kate does that.
Connie decides to confide in Kate about the mess that has become of the deck hands. She's mostly concerned about Don, but surprisingly Kate has Don's back instead of Eddie. She believes that Don is very good at being an engineer, and he should be there full time. Dayum.
Of course once again, Kate and Leon butt heads. He serves the guests a salad, and when they love the dressing, he refuses to give out the recipe. Kate, thinking on her feet, decides to make up crap for it. Leon claims that he's used the same dressing for years and years, and that he could sell it if he wanted to. Mostly it is another yawn situation. Drama aside, Leon's dishes are a huge hit once again. Seeing this, Kate tries to meet him in the middle by getting to know him and what he's been through. On face value, she is nice to him, but in her interviews, the fangs come out. Both she and Amy are a bit off put by him being a cruise chef.
One thing that I will never understand about this show is why everyone thinks Rocky is so hot. All the guys are staring at her constantly, but I don't get it. Her hair is a mess, her personality is annoying, and she's mentally unstable. Rocky takes her break and goes to swim, and Don (who is not on break and mysteriously thinks she is hot), strips down and follows her out. This, of course, pisses off Captain Lee very much. Seeing his sexy, muscular, hairy chest didn't piss me off one bit.
After the guests return from their off-boat trip, he pulls Eddie and Don in to discuss Don's insubordinate attitude earlier with Rocky. He stops by and asks Kate for advice quickly before he meets with the captain, and she gets very unhappy about Rocky wreaking havoc in everybody's areas. In the meeting, Captain Lee is not happy at all with him. He tells Don to work harder, to which Don responds that he's been more than helpful. After a big back and forth with Captain Lee, Don decides this isn't his cup of tea and puts in his two week's notice. Oh. God. The show is ruined for me.
