Reality TV Review: RHNJ Season Five Episode 10

With the first major story arc for this season out of the way, it was starting to look like we would get a little down time. Nope. There is no such thing as down time for New Jersey. These housewives are always freaking out over something. It looks like loose ends with Jacqueline need to be tied up, and we get to see if the breakthroughs Teresa and Melissa's families made over the last few episodes will last. Let's check out another episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey!

We start out this episode with a Melissa segment. She's visiting her hubby at work, who is finishing his third building. She spends much of her time wandering around the construction site with her young kids. He reveals that he was offered to be on a billboard for a tanning salon. Joe wants his wife to do it with him, but she thinks Teresa will say she's copying her, so she respectfully declines. That's actually a smart move on her part.

Next up is Teresa's house. We immediately are told that Melissa, Joe, and her kids are all coming over. Teresa's kids are crazy excited about the play date, but it cuts away to Jacqueline drama before we can really start anything.

As Jacqueline and Caroline talk about the weekend, Melissa pops in. How weird. Anyway, they start in on how Teresa can't let it go. My opinion dictates that Jacqueline has just as big a grudge. Anyway, Caroline tells Jacqueline about her pact with Teresa. Her face went from smiling and happy to like she was punched in the gut. Caroline begs he to just be civil. Jacqueline agrees, but when it cuts to the interview, it's obvious she's faking.

The Sunday dinner finally commences, with Melissa's family arriving just on time. The kids all are exstatic to see each other, and the show gives us one of it's sweeter moments. After a few snide comments from Melissa that could have resulted in a fight, the dinner starts. Everyone's getting along, Teresa doesn't freak about the tanning billboard, and things are happy. Then the bomb drops. Melissa tells Teresa that Jacqueline knows about the promise she made. Teresa reveals that Jacqueline has a darker side, but before she can really get to the juicy bits, her husband stops her. Damn my luck!

Now for the first Kathy segment of the episode! Her and Rosie are together talking about their relationship. She confronts Rosie about her ex girlfriend, letting her know that she didn't disapprove of her being gay, but her partner. Rosie tells her to shut up and deal with it, which gave me a little smile.

Most of the Caroline parts of this episode were boring. Her sons are still on the BLK water or whatever. Her daughter is there. Other stuff happens I guess. Caroline's husband freaks out a bit. Whatever.

Now for Melissa's photoshoot! Also we have Joe's photoshoot. I know which one I'm more interested in. Joe is SO HOT. I can't get enough of him. I wish he would take his pants off more this season. He's not even in his underwear here.  And no I did NOT rewind this part a few times. How rude. Melissa on the other hand was pretty tame. It was her on a staircase in a normal outfit. And you know what? All she did was complain about the fan. Damnit, lady, your hair is flying enough.

Jacqueline has decided to take her other son out for some quality time since her youngest son gets all the attention due to his condition. Just when they start bonding, Teresa calls. Teresa starts out the conversation by saying she doesn't want to be friends. Good going. She agrees to meet with Jacqueline, but at a neutral ground instead of at one of their houses.

The Melissa/Kathy clan go to a lesbian bar to check out the girls for Rosie. It's single's night, but they keep striking out for Rosie. Just when it looks hopeless, Rosie meets someone, but the editing makes it look pretty bad. She talks a lot. The girl didn't talk much. It's unclear whether or not she's blown it.

Jacqueline discusses with Caroline the best way to approach Teresa. Caroline suggests that she just drop everything and try and respect her. Keep it at that. Immediately she starts in insulting her saying she deflects and such. I'm not sure why she can't let it go.

Now for the fateful meeting. Jacqueline, Teresa, and the hubbies. They split up into boys and girls, and of course the cameras go after the ladies. They immediately confront each other about last season's most emotional parts. She feels she's not responsible for the brother sister duo breaking up, and Teresa demands she apologize for her cheating accusations. It all comes down to Teresa just calling Jacqueline evil.

Just before we get to the bottom of why Jacqueline is so against Teresa being mean, the episode ends.
