RuPaul's Drag Race Recap - Draggle Rock

Last week was a bit obvious as to who was gonna bite the big one and sashay away. Now it's starting to get to those who have what it takes, and every little error is can be the downfall of a talented queen. Who will go home this week? Well, you'll just have to keep reading to find out. Or you already watched it and want to see how hilarious I am.

We are on week three, guys, and I am finally excited about this show. I'm getting settled into the new queens, and I'm starting to pick my favorites. I guess it is time to get serious up in this bitch. Can I get an amen?

With Serena gone, the other queens start to toss the shade. Of course they don't like her, but all eyes are still on Monica. She got all the love and support from her sisters. The girls allude that they are going to reveal the big Coco/Alyssa secret. It's about time. With that out of the way, there's not real reason to keep them on the show (for story purposes anyway) and they can start to be on the line for their poor decisions.

Their mini challenge is to put them into partners to make over a few mannequins to make them into glamorous dolls to compete in a pageant. Immediately the show turns into Toddlers & Tiaras. What a snooze fest. This mini challenge just seemed like a waste of time.  Team Alaska really stole the show. As much as I harp on her, she really did have this one in the bag with her speech about her dollther... who happened to remind the world of Mimi Imfurst. Go figure. And they win.

Hey, look! A picture of Alaska on my blog!

The main challenge is to create lovable characters for a kid's televisions show. Not only that, but they have to make it educational. Lineysha and Alaska are team captains, causing a divide between the group when it comes down to Jade or Alyssa. Obviously Coco and Alyssa can't be on the same team because they are crybabies. Get over it. At least since it's focusing on Alyssa we are guaranteed some great reaction shots.

As always, for the challenges, they all look like a hot messes. Alaska missed the point of the whole challenge, which is to be in drag. The only one on team that looked good was Detox. Alyssa was the worst looking, obviously, but it was on purpose being the cross dressing uncle. Team Alaska did very well, having a lot of funny moments. Monica fudged up her lines, making me a bit worried, as she is climbing up my list of favorites. Flashback to last year's Dida.

Team Lineysha freaked me out a little bit with their "blow" jokes over and over. As a whole, actually, this entire sketch made me uncomfortable. They weren't together, Coco was bad, Lineysha was bad, Honey overacted (and looked like Katy Perry), and Jinkx was a bit over the top.

She is the bonanna king -- err -- queen.

I almost had forgotten about the Alyssa/Coco bit. This is building up worse than the Phi Phi and Sharon shouting match. Coco pleaded her case saying that she was embarrassed. Alyssa, on the other hand was playing victim. There can't be two, ma'am. Honestly, I find this situation uninteresting. The show is about what is going on now, not two years ago. Let's get to the runway
.
Called it!

Alaska looked like a mess. That hair was bad, and the splatters were just bad. She didn't use her props.
Monica looks quite great today, the flowers and hair were a bit much, but it's a huge improvement.
Alyssa impressed me more than ever before this time. Those shoes drove me wild.
Vivienne looked like a cute ballerina. Dat ass.
Detox missed the pink memo. Eh.
There is no other word to describe Roxxxy than "gorgeous." No, really.
Lineysha didn't impress me much. The dress looked odd.
Jinkx pulled off a better Marie Antoinette than Raja, and that is saying something. She had, by far, the best look of the episode. Bitch can make camp into glamor and that is a hard thing to do.
Coco looked like a little kid. Ugh.
Ivy went way over the top and was right on the same level as Shannel. Loveing it.
Honey looks like a hot Real Housewife in that , and I LOVE IT. She walked waaay too fast, though.
Jade looked very cute and sparkly, but there is STILL Something about her I can't stand. She may be top three, but not the winner.

Let them eat ALL of the cake!

They showed us the "best of" their shows they made for the challenge. Team Alaska is the obvious winner. Their second half, with Alyssa and Monica fell apart a bit, with Monica failing at her lines. Team Lineysha looked a mess, but it was a good choice to make Jinkx their host. They may have been a mess (especially Honey and Coco) but at least they were all in drag, right? The best part had to be Michelle's awkward clapping at the end of the last video. Top ten funny moments, anyone?

Ru pulls another half and half, having some of them immediately safe. Alaska, Monica, Vivienne, Detox, Roxxxy, Jinkx,  and Coco are the tops and bottoms. But who is who? As soon as they announced Jinkx safe, it became obvious who won the challenge. Detox took the win. Alaska got yet another get out of jail free card. I mean what the hell? It now is down to Monica and Coco. I'm cheering for Monica, but due to the Coco-fueled drama, I'm betting it's Monica that goes home. Of course I'm right. I had this whole episode pegged from the second they filmed the main challenge. Oh well. I miss Monica already.
