Top Five: Most Wanted For 2013

It's a new year, and there is so much out of it that I really want. There are so many things that were promised over the course of 2012 that just didn't happen -- whether it was due to lack of a budget, a busy schedule, or just stupid rumors. But could these things happen in 2013? There's still eleven and a half months left for these guys to make their move. Let's take a look at my Most Wanted list for this year!

5. XELLE to release "Hologram" Music Video

This video has been soooo long in the making. Originally said to be coming out in March 2012, it got pushes back to October, and then again to "very soon" status. The trailer reveals next to nothing about the video other than it has a list of guest stars longer than an Adam Barta music video. It claims to be a new breed of video, but other than "choose wisely" being tacked on at the end, it doesn't say what else is going to happen. This one is so high up on the list mainly because we know it's going to happen. They have been consistently releasing things in place of this video, but still keeping the fans pumped about it. But when will it really be released. Let's hope for this year.

4. Brandon Hilton's New Album "JUDEME(nt)"

Brandon has come a long, long way. He has improved in songwriting as well as singing in general. He has been prepping his new album, titled "JUDEME(nt)" for a while now. It was originally slated to be released in December of last year, but releasing an album by oneself is no easy task. It has been pushed back, sadly enough, to a TBA status. In it's place is a "best of" album that is to come out at the end of the month. The two singles for the new release so far, "Dance Til I Die" and "Daddy" (which will be released soon as well in it's full form) are both impressive and leaps ahead in the right direction for him. Suffice to say, this blogger wants that album to happen, and happen soon, too.

3. More Tokyo Black

Ooooh how I love me some Tokyo Black. She released her debut single back in April of last year and has been planning and recording seemingly non-stop since. The only thing is that her fans have only seen a couple of demos as the fruits of the labor. Not a lot of info comes out via her official Facebook page, but what does is that she is still working at it, and wanting everyone to be patient. Now, what I can say are that the demo tracks she has released online are amazing, and I can't wait to hear more!

2. Girlicious Returns

Not gonna lie - I love Girlicious. I lost my mind when I heard they weren't over and done, even if that meant that they had an almost completely new lineup. Back in March, it was announced that original member Nichole Cordova, would be joined by three new girls, Kasey Osborne, Alex Segal and Candice Craig. They also said they were working on a new album that was almost finished. Fast forward to January 2013 and not a peep from any of them. Even moreso than PCD, I want Girlicious, the underdogs of the girl-group-pop-world to make a comeback... even if they have a different line up for every album.

1. Where are Black Kids?

Seriously. Where are they? The Black Kids have been pretty absent from the pop scene since 2009. They did a tour across the southern US states earlier in 2012 where they performed several new songs, but they are completely silent when it comes to an official release. As a matter of fact, the last thing anyone on the net seems to have heard from them is in April when drummer Kevin Snow said they were still hard at work writing for the new album. If I could have one wish for the coming year it is that Black Kids, one of my favorite bands of all time, would release new material.
