Ru Paul's Drag Race - The Final Three

Well, I'm not entirely sure what to say. This week we had probably the most shocking twist of the season. Yes, even more so than Willam's unconventional exit. I don't really have much to say other than I think I'm more angry over a TV show right now than I have ever been in my life.

So I've had a week off, and I am ready for more. I am ready to find out who wins. I am ready to for it all to be over so I can sleep on Monday nights. I am ready. READY!

The episode starts out with an extremely long 'previously on' segment, highlighting all three of the finalists. As if we didn't have a re-cap episode last week. Enough! Let's get this moving.

After a bit of shade that we have put up with for weeks now, we get to the meat of the situation. Ru drops the biggest shock ever: They are going to co-star with her in her new music video... Like that isn't the final challenge every year.

No mini challenge this week, they just thrust right into the choreography. As in each year, the girl who seems to be doing the best (Sharon) ends up doing poorly because she can't dance. I'm having major season three flashbacks. Phi Phi was on point, but critiqued for being "too cha cha." Chad was "too girly," And Sharon was just bad.

The green screen bits were quite bad, too, as Sharon couldn't keep in place. I love how they constantly make Sharon look bad in this episode. I'm sure she didn't do that terrible, but it was a point they could highlight, and they just kept hammering it in.

The next day, they have a mysterious message on the mirror, and are told to meet them in the ladies room. To their surprise, Raja and Tyra, winners of season three and two respectively, are waiting for them. I'm not sure what the point was of this, but it was nice to see my girl Raja again.

There's a reason why these two won.

When it comes to Drag Race, you can always count on the final episode being the exact same thing with new girls pasted into the scenes. The "dinner" with Ru is still here, and still not funny.

Chad's dinner revolved around his "perfection." Later, they delved into his family life, in being abandoned by his father. I am already a huge fan of Chad, so this was a truly heartfelt moment. Ru connected his striving for affection to his flawlessness, which was pretty on point.

Phi Phi's diner was mostly about her family as well. When Ru asks if having a military father has anything to do with her perseverance, she reveals that she was actually put in the hospital by her father after a fight. I love Phi Phi dearly. I know what she has been through, and I feel she doesn't deserve all the hatred.

Sharon had an interesting meal with Ru. She reveals that her boyfriend Alaska has auditioned four years in a row, while she only auditioned once, and feels that she may hold resentment for that. She reveals she is a bit scared of success, which is a very WRONG thing to say.

Later, Chad apologized to Phi Phi for telling her to grow up. She really did seem to feel ashamed for what she had said, and told Phi Phi to enjoy her youth while she still could. This is where the Phi Phi I know and love (and interviewed) comes out. She played the game people, get over it.

The scenes where they filmed their bits with Ru were... Interesting. Phi Phi took the cake by almost decking Ru with an actual wrench. Sharon is certainly better at acting than she is dancing, taking the cake for this portion.

If talking doesn't work, she can always just beat Ru with that wrench.

Aaaaand cue the "I can't believe this is it" montage.

This is it. The final runway.

Chad looked amazing. Summoning thoughts of an Egyptian princess. She definitely had the best look for the night, and wins my award for most consistently amazing on the runway throughout the show.

I was not feeling Sharon tonight. She had the same tentacle fingers we have seen before, and for a finale, the outfit seemed lazy. Sharon wins my award for most groundbreaking this season, bringing new fashion and new ideas to a world that was getting stale and samey.

Phi Phi looked like Pebbles from the Simpsons. Not the strongest look, but it is quite interesting. I was hoping she would do a bit better for the final episode. Phi Phi, to me, was the best overall throughout the competition, evolving when the judges asked of her, staying strong in challenges, and shining at all the right moments.

After the critiques, the girls are brought back out on stage. Ru announces they are breaking all the rules. Instead of sending one home before the final lip sync, all three of them bitches are gonna have to werk it all at once. Wait. What?

Honestly, all three of these girls are amazing performers, and it was really tough for me to pick a top for myself. Phi Phi was a bit too peppy, but when she fell on the floor, I lost it. Chad didn't get highlighted as much, as Sharon was too busy crawling across the floor.

Then comes the big shocker. This is the finale, and they aren't even going to announce who the winner is. Isn't that a bit of a slap in the face to the viewers? They put us through thirteen weeks of this, and finally when it comes down to the wire, they don't even make a decision. Ugh.  Ru, instead, wants you to tweet him and tell him who you think should win. That is BULL SHIT. Can we just crown Phi Phi and get it over with?
