RuPaul's Drag Race - WTF! Wrestling's Trashiest Fighters

It's that time again. Drag Race is back again and starting to go out in full swing. I'm gonna go for a less formal and more spontaneous approach this week. It's WTF week, and no, it doesn't stand for what you think. It stands for Wrestling's Trashiest Fighters. Yup. Welcome to RPDR 4.

This week the girls had quite a bit to do and little time to do it. Due to the extreme length of the main challenge, much of the drama that probably went on in the work room was cut. Instead, they got right into the action with the mini challenge. The girls were challenged to make pads on the spot. This sounds easy to an onlooker, but it really isn't. This being said, I think somebody needs to tell Lashauwn that asses are round, and not square. Even so, this proved that this season has some of the most fearsome girls known to the drag world.

Dis is dem.
The challenge spawned three winners, Phi Phi, Chad, and my grrl Willam. BUT BEFORE I GO ON I need to address something. Sharon is so damn funny. She has had the best quotes from the first episode and again she takes the cake here. Such utterances as "Don't kick over my packing peanuts!" and "Come on Madame! My damn face is sick of looking at you!" made me literally laugh hard enough to stop breathing for a bit. Don't worry though. I recovered. Kind of.

The main challenge was insane. The girls had to come up with a back story and choreograph a fight sequence. Sadly, Willam's team sucked this one up. The best part, in my opinion, was Willam's over the top dramatics. This actually got her in trouble in the judging. What do they know? Psh.

This happens all the time in WWE, right?

The best team of them all was Team Phi Phi, but they didn't even win. Chad's team won, and I'm not really sure why. I mean, Chad and Madame looked amazing and had an original idea chaining themselves together, but other than that the rest was forgettable. I enjoyed Kenya and (oddly enough) Latrice's performances the best.

The runway looks for this season continue to disappoint me. My favorites were Willam (you surprised?), Phi Phi (Who was channeling Mariah from last season), and Chad (the prom queen). The other girls deserve a bit of shade. Lashauwn looked pretty good, but I was scared the balloons were going to pop at any minute. Sharon obviously doesn't 'get' girly. Laqueer looked like she was possessed by a 50s housewife. Milan was horrid. Jiggly was... Yeah.

I have to live my life knowing I'll never be as hot as Willam.

And then we have Latrice. Somebody needs to tell that one that not only did she not look girly but she was wearing three different shades of pink in the form of a horrible ensemble. I know it seems like I'm picking on her, but I got a bit fed up with her getting by. I don't think she was the worst of the week, but she needs to be critiqued more harshly. She did pretty much what Mystique was slammed for in season two. She had the personality but not quite the look. THAT BEING SAID she did look good on the runway as far as face and accesories go, and she did very well in the challenge. I have no problem with her as a person, but her outfit got a pass because of her personality while previous seasons girls got ripped apart.

It came down to The Princess and Lashauwn. This, my friends, was bull. I thought Dida's look and performance were abysmal. She was given a pass even though the judges picked her apart hardcore. The Princess looked amazing and did average in the challenge, and Lashauwn was just a little too quiet. In the end, one of my top picks, Lashauwn, ended up sashaying away.

Also, I promise to take fewer pictures of Willam next week. I didn't realize that she was in almost every screen cap I've taken this season. STOP BEING SO STUNNING YOU JERK!

  1. You're obsessed with Willam -- who I think is beautiful -- but I don't get your captivation at all!

In terms of the challenge, I think Kenya & Latrice owned it with Chad/Madame coming in a close second. Your assessment of Latrice (who I really, REALLY like) on the runway is accurate. I was underwhelmed by her look.

For this episode, Dida should have probably gone into the Bottom 2. Since she wasn't, LaShauwn's ultimate downfall: Taking off her shoes. Honey, it's drag. You'd BETTER have on heels, at least, or I'm over it.

  2. My obsession with Willam stems from her personality. She is pretty, yeah, but she is a major bitch. I have always loved bitches and my best girl friends are all huge divas who have more haters than they could count.

As for Latrice, I loved her in the challenge and I'm not saying she should have went home, but I'm so sick over her getting a by for looking like a hot mess on the runway. Mystique had a very similar look to hers in the country episode of season two and they ripped her apart. I don't understand the judges this time.

I honestly hated Dida's look. A lot. It looked too amateurish. I was getting a real unpolished Tyra vibe from Lashauwn and I was really upset to see her go, but between her and Princess, it was an obvious choice.

  3. Odd you should say that, because I told my friends LaShauwn was "a less-polished Tyra."

  4. I think Phi's team shoulda won with Latrice taking the top honor.
